ThriveNYC Weekend of Faith in The International Hua-Yan Buddhist Federation

May 19-21, 2017 is the second annual ThriveNYC Weekend of Faith. There were 2,000+ houses of worship across the country speaking to hundreds of thousands of people about the importance of mental health awareness.

On May 21, 2017, joining with the 2000 Faith houses nationally, The International Hua-Yan Buddhist Federation held a forum with topic of " Mind, Happiness and Menyal Health"

 Professor Dedong Wei of Columbia University delivered a concise introduction on mind and mental health from the Buddhist point of view.   Venerable Jingyi Shi the Abbess  of the Grace Gratitude Temple,Mr. Chunyang Xue, director of ICN broadcasting and the well recognized Chinese painting artist  Xi Yang also attended the event with lay people who are interested in Buddhist practice in mind.      The International Hua-Yan Buddhist federation offers free meditation class for anyone including corporations, organizations, schools and more.
