Buddhist Education Project in Nepal
One of the projects we currently support is the monastery and Buddhist education project in Nepal led by our member organization, Harmony Peace Foundation (formerly Palyul Theckchen Ling Monastery). The International Hua Yan Buddhist Federation has worked with the organization for many years—from supporting the education of young monks to helping improve their living and learning environment, supporting monastery construction, and raising resources to create a stable and lasting place for monastic education and practice.
A monastery is not only a place for Buddhist worship and practice. It also provides an important foundation for Buddhist education, monastic training, and the transmission of the Dharma.
The International Hua-Yan Buddhist Federation works with monasteries and Buddhist organizations in different regions, supporting monastery development, Buddhist education, monastic training, and related projects according to their needs. We also help connect resources and bring communities together to support the long-term development of Buddhist institutions.
Our support is not only about constructing buildings. More importantly, it is about what those monasteries can make possible—providing a stable environment for monastics to live, study, and practice; educating future generations of monastics; and creating lasting places for Dharma teaching, education, and service to the community.
Supporting a monastery is about more than constructing a building.
It is about creating a lasting home for the study, practice, and transmission of the Dharma
